What You’ll Excel At

• Accurate, quality repairs: Maintenance-level repairs (oil changes, brakes, tires, batteries, belts, hoses, filters, fluid exchanges, etc.) completed independently to Boca Auto Fix standards.
• Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs): Thorough inspections on every vehicle with clear photos, notes, measurements, and consistent communication that helps clients make informed decisions.
• Basic electrical and scan tool use: Battery/charging system tests, fuse checks, code retrieval and clearing, and documenting results correctly.
• Workflow and SOPs: Owning your bay, staging parts, organizing tools, and following written SOPs and checklists without constant oversight.
• Quality control: Safe pre- and post-repair road tests to verify repairs, prevent comebacks, and protect client trust.
• Independent productivity: Meeting flagged-hour expectations, communicating blockers early, and finishing jobs on time.
• Team contribution: Clear communication with Client Advocates, collaborating with teammates, and supporting apprentice development when needed.
• Documentation: Accurate labor operation notes, correct torque specs, and proper use of service information and TSBs.

• You complete DVIs thoroughly and consistently, using photos, notes, and measurements that make clients feel informed and taken care of.
• You follow SOPs without shortcuts — check-in, DVI, QC, parts flow, and documentation are part of your rhythm, not an afterthought.
• Your productivity is steady and reliable. You hit your flagged-hour expectations while maintaining quality, safety, and zero-drama communication.
• You own your bay. It’s organized, stocked, and ready — not something someone else has to manage for you.
• You prevent comebacks through careful repair practices, proper torquing, quality control road tests, and attention to detail.
• You communicate clearly with the Client Advocate, keeping surprises to a minimum and blockers out in the open early.
• You contribute to the team — whether that’s helping an apprentice, sharing knowledge, or stepping in when someone needs a hand.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Experience: 2–3 years in a professional shop (or equivalent skill set). You can complete MS3-level work with little to no oversight.
• Tools: You bring your own professional hand tools; specialty tools, equipment, and scan tools are provided.
• Certifications: Working toward ASEs; ASE G1 or any A-level ASE is preferred. We’ll invest in your continued education.
• Standards-driven: You follow written SOPs, QC processes, and take pride in consistent, reliable work.
• Safety mindset: You always use PPE, follow OSHA guidelines, and protect client vehicles.
• Growth-oriented: You want to keep learning and improve — with a clear path toward MS2 responsibilities (suspension, alignments, drivability).
• Communication: You share findings clearly and professionally with Client Advocates and teammates.

Your Growth Path

Mechanical Specialist 3 is the starting point on our technician team — but it’s just the beginning. As you master DVIs, workflow, and consistent quality, you’ll have the opportunity to move up to Mechanical Specialist 2 and beyond, taking on diagnostics, suspension, and drivability work.

For the right person, this can even lead to senior roles, technology specialization, or shop leadership opportunities.

What We Offer

• No Weekends: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM–4:00 PM (occasional adjustments during busy weeks)
• Air-Conditioned Bays: Stay comfortable even in Florida summers
• Hourly Pay ($23–$26/hr): This is an hourly role with predictable income — no flat rate, no commission pressure, and no upsell quotas. Final pay depends on your experience, skills, and ability to perform MS3-level work independently.
